Shane is an Emmy-nominated writer and the director of development for Bix Pix Entertainment, the award-winning stop motion animation studio in Sun Valley, California. 

He also wrote the book Allister Cromley's Fairweather Belle (Bedtime Stories For Grown Ups to Tell) and cut his teeth on the windy streets of Chicago's improv and sketch comedy scene. Full bio.

Hobo Code

Co-created/written/directed by Shane and Paul Pakler, this 4-part limited audio fiction series about two hobos and a young girl with a best friend who lives in a coffee can charted in the top 50 drama podcasts on Apple in its first two weeks. It features the voices of Bill Pullman and Susan Ruttan and has an original score steeped in folk/Americana music. 

 Kinderwood

A Nick Jr/Noggin series created by Otto Tang.  Shane wrote two episodes. One of which, What Sounds Like Thunder​, was an official selection of the 2021 Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

Tumble Leaf

Winner of 16 Emmys, 3 Annies, a BAFTA, and an Annecy Award. Created by Drew Hodges and Bix Pix Entertainment and produced by Amazon Studios. Shane was nominated for an Emmy for writing for the series in 2020.

Moonlight Story Time

Co-created and written by Shane, this series of interstitial shorts was made for HMH Publishing's Curious World App. The Wooly Dragon short was an official selection of the 2016 Annecy International Animated Film Festival. 

Allister Cromley's Fairweather Belle

A collection of bedtime stories, following an introverted adventurer, with the intent of bringing adults back to their childhood feelings of wonder.
